It gives us immense pleasure to invite you to participate in the International conference “Sustainability in the changing environment: ways for future development” (ICSCE2018) and 2^nd Student Research Conference 2018 (SRC2018) to be organized by Department of Management Sciences, COMSATS University Islamabad, Vehari Campus. The primary focus of the ICSCE2018 and SRC2018 is to enable national and international academia, researchers and practitioners to join with us and share knowledge in the related field. Graduating students will be presenting their work before the galaxy of academia for feedback and guidance for improvement. Further, the conference aims to maximize the opportunity for the exchange of information and knowledge through keynote presentations, special sessions and social activities for the advancement of sustainability in the changing environment.

Call for papers

An abstract with 200-350 words should be submitted for the review. The abstract should include background, objective, methodology and results. One author can submit more than one abstract. Abstracts can be submitted at icsce@ciitvehari.edu.pk and src@ciitvehari.edu.pk

Themes

ICSCE2018 and SRC2018 invite submission of theoretical and empirical papers in the related disciplines of sustainability. Submissions are invited on, but not limited to, the following subthemes:

1. Business management in changing environment

2. Economics

3. Climate change and sustainable development

4. Population, urban slums and poverty

5. Role of agribusiness in poverty alleviation

6. ICT and future development

7. Social and environmental sciences

Important Dates

Deadline for submission of abstract: October 28, 2018

Acceptance of abstracts: October 31, 2018

Conference: November 12-13, 2018

Registration Fee

Registration for the conference will open on October 31, 2018. Registration includes conference bag, book proceedings, lunches, gala dinner, local travel and accommodation for two nights. Information on registration process will be available on the conference website very soon.

The Commission on Science and Technology for Sustainable Development in the South (COMSATS) is an international organization. It aims to reduce the ever-growing gap between the developed and developing world through useful applications of science and technology. CUI started its journey in 1998. CUI, Vehari campus was established in 2008. It is the fastest-growing campus of university. CUI, Vehari Campus adheres to the philosophy of reaching excellence in the field of Science and Information technology.

Department of Management Sciences

Department of Management Sciences started its journey around 10 years ago with a vision to develop skills of tomorrow's managers, entrepreneurs and economists. The department endeavours to contribute to the society by imparting quality education, conducting research on cutting edge issues and using modern managerial practices through learned faculty, interacting with leading consultants, entrepreneurs, industrialists, technology experts and global educational partners. In addition to grooming the personality of our students and sharpening their communication skills, greater emphasis is laid upon the intellectual augmentation and perpetual development of students with curricular, co-curricular and extracurricular efforts.
